When kittens are born, the first week is very important. Their body heat needs to be 90 degrees. The room doesn't need to be 90 degrees, but the room should be 75-80 degrees. We always use a Dyson heater in the room to keep the kittens warm. Kittens sleep most of the time and will wake up when they need to eat again. So the mother can leave when the kittens are sleeping. She will know when to come back. Daimeimei always goes on break outside the kittens room. Always check up on the kitten every hour or half. Sometimes you will see the kitten crawled out of the nest somewhere. And it is always best to catch it soon enough.
Always feed the kitten every night. To make sure they are full, because sometimes a kitten might not have gotten enough milk. So it is always good to make sure they are full.

This is my nursing syringe. Kittens when they are day old, it is so hard to use those regular kitten feeding bottles, because their mouth is so small and are unable to bite on it. This has worked for me into to tricking them to eat the milk. If they don't drink the milk, it could be because they are too cold or they do not recognize your scent. To resolve this, you need to make them feel their mother is still there. Or to only feed them when they are really hungry. You can purchase this kind of syringe on Temu. Make sure to buy several, because these syringes wear out quickly. If there is not enough time to get this kind of syringe. Go to a vet, and ask if they can give you some syringes. They will hold less, but will still work with small kittens. Make sure to feed the kitten the same way in this image. Other ways might cause milk to get in their nose and then suffocating them. If milk get stuck in their nose, start to lightly pat the back of their neck. Until all the milk has left their nose. And always wipe their face. We usually use baby wet wipes to wipe their face after feeding them and to remove all the milk off their face and nose.
When making the kittens milk, do not use a blender. Use a shaker bottle. The milk needs to be lukewarm. The kitten milk formula says 1 spoon of formula and 2 spoons of water ratio. I always put 1 spoon of room temperature water and then 1 spoon of hot water. And test to make sure not too warm for the kitten. Kittens that do not get enough milk from mom will need 5ml of milk for the first week. Then the second week will need more. I always determine this by how full they are. If they are full they usually move their head away. Do not follow this advice if your kitten has no mother and is skinny or ill. Because these kind of kittens will reject eating even if they need to eat.
When petting kittens, pet lightly like a feather. Also when feeding them milk, you may need to support their head. I will eventually post a video of this later, to give a more clear idea.
Good luck with your newborn kitten!
